By means of illustrious beach parties and underground vibes in remarkable locations, Deep House music has spread to all four corners of the globe. In the last few years, the genre shifted into higher gear, readily becoming one of the main pillars of Electronic Music. And as the genre continues to flourish and the massive following grows even further, countless events emerge with the sole purpose of uniting as many Deep House fans as possible (including Armada Music’s very own Armada Deep event at ADE 2015 with Belgian prodigy Lost Frequencies). Still don’t know what festivals we’re talking about? Here is the Deep House Festivals Top 5.
Starting the new year at the basking Playa Del Carmen in Mexico, BPM festival is nothing short of Deep House paradise. The festival never fails to represent the beloved underground scene, including the likes of Solomun, Joris Voorn, N’to, Luciano, Dixon, Carl Cox and many more in their line-up. The 2016 edition will run from January 8th until January 17th, encompassing over fifty parties in total.
Sonar festival in Barcelona is by far the best known Deep House festival in this list. With big venues, inspiring conferences, and eye-opening seminars, Sonar is the year’s highlight of countless Deep House fans. Sonar harbors a broad range of DJs and live acts performing on label showcases and local parties. Mark the dates: June 16th, 17th and 18th 2016.
One of the parties you shouldn’t miss out on is Parklife festival in Manchester. The UK event is absolutely massive, representing tons of different and distinctive artists, from Disclosure to Hot Since 82, and plenty more. Real music lovers unite; if you’re not one to shy away from a bit of main stream music amidst your beloved Deep House vibes, this festival is a must-attend. Parklife 2016 will be taking place somewhere in the first two weeks of June.
Dekmantel; the up and coming Dutch festival with techno based nuances at its core. If you fancy the likes of Nina Kraviz, Ben Klock and Ricardo Villalobos, you’ll be happy at the Amsterdam based event. With four amazing stages, Dekmantel attracts fans from all around the world.
DGTL Festival 2015 is driven by another Dutch organization, touching down in Barcelona after two previous Amsterdam based festivals. Between calling a former ship wharf their home and arranging for the likes of Maceo Plex, Paco Osuna, Ame, Joseph Capriatie and Dutch talent De Sluwe Vos to play for their increasingly massive fan base, there’s little left to be said. This party is slamming!
